2026: Asia Pacific Aerospace Conference & Exhibition (APACE)
What a privilege to be part of the first ever Asia Pacific Aerospace Conference & Exhibition (APACE) in Kuching this week. Attended by the usual suspects from across the aerospace and aviation sectors, it was encouraging to see so much interest from students as well as the ordinary man in the street – all positive signs for Sarawak’s aspirations in moving onwards and upwards in these areas.
Abdullah Chan & Co was represented by Datin Shelina Razaly Wahi who leads our Aviation and Aerospace practice. Datin Shelina was a panelist on Tuesday 27 January, speaking as part of Forum Discussion 1: A Unified Aerospace Vision – Policy, Safety and Infrastructure for the 21st Century and Beyond. She highlighted Malaysia’s aerospace and aviation journey, reminding the audience that “Malaysia IS an aerospace country!”. Datin Shelina also shared her views on the issues facing SMEs in aerospace, and the areas where more focus and support are needed, in order for the industry to expand further.
Not quite the typical topics you would expect from a lawyer, but then again, Abdullah Chan & Co pride ourselves on our deep and broad knowledge of the industries in which we work. And as our clients will attest, we are NOT typical lawyers, by any means.
